1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE:Cllr.S Spence Cllr. A Blythe
2. DECLARARYION OF MEMBERS INTERESTS: None
3. PUBLIC FORUM; Sue Moody questioned what was happening with the essential electical work in the village.
4. CO-OPTION OF COUNCILLOR; Cllr. No.Cody requested this be removed from the agenda.
5. NOTES OF MEETING HELD ON 11TH MAY 2026

P Kent seconded Cllr. P Watson.
6. REPORTS ON MATTERS FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING; Cllr.P Watson stated he had talked to the tree and landscape officer at WLDC regarding the cemetery hedge, the officer had no problem with cutting the hedge now however DEFRA need to approve. Cllr.P Watson contacted DEFRA who stated the hedge met the criteria of agricultural land, it was decided at the meeting to wait until the end of August to get the hedge cut. Cllr R Pilgrim advised the Torksey phone box is being refurbished and he would ask Daniel Mahoney to contact the clerk.
7. PLANNING; No applications received
8. FINANCE; Payments were approved for ESPO £217.14 C&G Grouncare £100.00 clerks salary £199.13 HMRC £49.60. The clerk ran through the AGAR figures which were approved and signed off.
Internal audit still to be arranged.
9. UPDATE ON MOBILE POST OFFICE; An email has been sent to Edward Leigh MP which has been acknowledged but no formal response has been received. Cll.R Pilgrim stated he thought letters from residents to advise they would use the facility
may be helpful.
10. REQUEST FOR MEETING FROM SOLICITOR TO REGISTER PARISH LAND; No update, the clerk stated there was an article regarding a Town Council going trough the same process which she would try and find and circulate.
11. OFFER TO TRANSFER OF CAR PARK MARTON ACADEMY FROM DEVELOPER UPDATE FROM CLLR KENT: No update from Cllr. P Kent, Cllr. P Watson had contacted highways and spoken to someone called 'Charlie' who would investigate and come back to Cllr. Watson. A discussion then took place regarding what was said at the last meeting.
12. LCC GRANT FOR BUS SHELTER SCHEME; Councillor's had not looked at the website so it was agreed to defer to the next meeting.
13. REQUEST FROM VILLAGE HALL COMMITEE TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE COST OF BARK/RUBBER CHIPPING FOR THE PLAY PARK; Cllr. R Pilgrim suggested the name of another cheaper company be given to the village hall committee as the quotes received were very expensive. Cllr. L Musgrave stated she would give this information to Rachael Wearing, it was agreed to defer any decision until the next meeting.
14. CORRESPONDENCE; See 13 above.
15. CORONATION WOOD; C&G groundcare had made a very good job of cutting the grass. Cllr Cody had seen Mr Porter who was very pleased to have received acknowledgement of all his work at Coronation Wood.
16:AOB; There has been rubbish dumped by the cemetery at Trent Park Road, it was agreed this would be removed by the Parish Council.
