Minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday 4 September 2018

68. CHAIRMAN'S REMARKS.

New Declarations of Interest forms have been completed by Cllrs Cody and Spence.

Cllr Spence has been contacted by Hello Halo Productions who are requesting permission to dig for Viking artefacts on the Parish owned land by the river. There were no objections and the permission form was signed.

69. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE.

70. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST.

None.

71. NOTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 3 JULY 2018 TO BE APPROVED AS MINUTES.

Cllr Durning proposed and Cllr Musgrave seconded that the notes of the meeting held 3 July 2018 be approved as minutes.

 

72. REPORTS.

The defibrillator is not in the cabinet. Cllr Cody has contacted Willingham surgery and EMAS but no-one knows where it has gone. Further enquiries are to be made.

 

73. PLANNING.

Application No. 137722, Land at Adams Way. Planning application to erect 4 dwellings has been granted.

Application No. 138155, East Gate Burton Hall. Planning application for reconstruction of part of walled garden including new buttresses. No objections.

 

74. FINANCE.

Balance both accounts as of end of May 2018 £19,477.57

(Includes £3450 reserved for land at bottom of Trent Port Road.)

Community Speed Watch – 30 mph reminder signs. Cllr Spence will fill in the application form marking the 6 locations for the signs.

 

  1. HARPHAM ROAD AND 24 HIGH STREET.

More branches have come down into Harpham Road gardens.

WLDC has also been contacted by residents of Harpham Road and has written to Sanctuary Housing urging them to cut back the trees. The PC will also contact Sanctuary Housing.

 

77. 40 MPH BUFFER ZONE .

No further news

 

78. FLOODING ON TRENT PORT ROAD.

No further news.

 

79. BUS SHELTER.

It was agreed to purchase a Topaz 2 bay shelter in blue. Before ordering, a quote for installation will be obtained and Highways will be informed.

Cllr Cody proposed and Cllr Musgrave seconded, and it was agreed, to purchase a replacement bench for the top of the hill. Quotes for installation are to be obtained from local businesses.

80. NATURE RESERVE.

Nothing further has been heard.

 

81. VERGE SIDE PLANTERS.

These would require a lot of maintenance. Another feature that reflects the history of the village will be considered.

 

82. REPORTS/ITEMS FOR NEXT AGENDA.

A branch has come down in the churchyard and has been cleared away. Rev Wain is dealing with the paving slabs around the church.

A large branch has come down in the cemetery.

The hinge for the gate to the land at the end of Trent Port Road is broken.

Cllr Ridley reported the hole in the road on High Street in June but it has still not been mended.

Harvest Supper is on 21 September.

 

83. NEXT MEETING.

The next meeting is to be held on Tuesday 2 October 2018 commencing at 7.00pm.

The meeting closed at 8.55pm.
