Minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday 2 October 2018

84. CHAIRMAN'S REMARKS.

Hello Halo Productions have filmed by the river.

The defibrillator is now back in the cabinet but needs a new battery and pads before it can be reactivated.

 

85. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE.

None.

 

86. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST.

Cllr Cody declared an interest in the planning application for 24 High Street due to its location.

 

87. NOTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 4 SEPTEMBER 2018 TO BE APPROVED AS MINUTES.

Cllr Worrell proposed and Cllr Allen seconded that the notes of the meeting held 4 September 2018 be approved as minutes.

73. PLANNING.

Application No. 137715, Land North of Littleborough Lane, Outline planning permission for residential development of up to 9 dwellings has been GRANTED.

Mr Burke has asked if there were any objections to the siting of a For Sale sign at the junction of Littleborough Lane and High Street. There were no objections as long as the board does not obscure drivers' vision.

 

Application No.137856, Coach House Cottage, Gate Burton. Listed Building consent for internal alterations has been GRANTED.

 

Application No. 138155, East Gate Burton Hall. Planning application for reconstruction of part of walled garden including new buttresses has been GRANTED.

 

 

 

Application No. 138337, 24 High Street. Full Planning Application for the demolition of 24 High Street and the construction of 1 replacement dwelling plus 3 new dwellings.

There were no objections in principle but concerns were raised about the amount of asbestos on site and its safe disposal. There was also a question as to whether the flood risk assessment was accurate. West Lindsey District Council is to be contacted.

The precept for the financial year 2019/20, was discussed and it was unanimously agreed to set it at £9,000, the same as the current year.

92. HARPHAM ROAD AND 24 HIGH STREET.

The Planning application for 24 High Street was discussed earlier in the meeting.

Sanctuary Housing has written to the landowner for permission to enter the land to cut back the trees. Cllr Spence will contact the WLDC Enforcement Officer.

 

93. 40 MPH BUFFER ZONE .

No further news

 

94. FLOODING ON TRENT PORT ROAD.

No further news.

 

95. BUS SHELTER AND SEAT.

The quote for the installation of the bus shelter was discussed. L R Hutchinson are to be asked for a quote.

LCC are to be chased for permission to have a shelter.

It was agreed to accept Hutchinson's quote for the construction of the new base for the seat and for fixing the seat on to it.

 

They are also to be asked to clear the vegetation from the site.

 

96. VERGE SIDE PLANTERS.

Village signs are being considered instead of planters. Posters are to be put on the boards requesting people to submit ideas and/or designs depicting the

Roman heritage. The Château could be used on the sign for Gate Burton.

 

97. GATE, TRENT PORT ROAD.

A new post is required. Cllr Gamble will ask Nick Hill.

 

98. REPORTS/ITEMS FOR NEXT AGENDA.

Cllr Spence has had a meeting with Mr & Mrs Gibbs and Rev Wein about the churchyard , there is still a branch hanging over the church. Quotes to remove the dangerous branches are to be obtained.

Cllr Spence will obtain the wreath for Remembrance Day.

The hole in the road on High Street has been mended but the one by the 30mph sign is still there.

The next meeting is to be held on Tuesday 6 November 2018 commencing at 7.00pm.
