100. CHAIRMAN'S REMARKS.

The defibrillator is now in working order.

Mrs Gibbs has asked for an update on the tree in the churchyard.

The hole in the road on High Street has been mended.

The passive 30MPH signs have arrived.

103. NOTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 2 0CTOBER 2018 TO BE APPROVED AS MINUTES.

Cllr Durning proposed and Cllr Musgrave seconded that the notes of the meeting held 2 October 2018 be approved as minutes.

107. CORRESPONDENCE

Crime Report for Gainsborough Rural South.

East Midlands Community Housing Roadshow.

WLDC – Greater Lincolnshire LEP Project Pipeline Ideas Call.

LALC – Webinar Rural Community Businesses.

LALC – War Memorials Grant Scheme. It was agreed to look into obtaining a grant to repair the memorial.

LCC – Temporary Road Closure Notice.

LCC – Parish Agreement, Urban Highway Verge Cutting 2019/20. It was agreed to renew the agreement. Cllr Gamble proposed and Cllr Durning seconded, and it was agreed, that the contractor be asked to do four amenity cuts next year instead of two.

Everyone was happy to use the same contractor next year.

LCC – Grit Bins. It was agreed to request bins for the bottom of the hill, Stow Park Road, and for Willingham Hill.

LCC – Winter self-help and Mutual Aid.

WLDC – Community Infrastructure Levy information.

Red Cross – First Aid Training. Consideration will be given to this later.

 

 

108. HARPHAM ROAD.

Cllr Spence has spoken to WLDC. The matter is still going through the legal process.

 

109. 24 HIGH STREET – PROPOSED BUS SHELTER.

The development has been approved without the bus shelter. Work has commenced to remove the buildings on the site. WLDC are keeping watch on the process, including the removal of the asbestos.

 

110. 40 MPH BUFFER ZONE .

No further news

 

111. FLOODING ON TRENT PORT ROAD.

No further news.

 

112. BUS SHELTER AND SEAT.

The new base for the replacement seat has been laid.

Highways are to be asked to inspect the existing tarmacked area in the bus lay-by to find out if it is suitable for a bus shelter to be fixed to it.

 

 

 

 

113. VILLAGE SIGNS.

No design ideas have yet been received.

 

114. OLD TELEPHONE BOX.

 

The telephone box has been repainted. It is planned to install shelves in order for the box to be a useful facility, such as an information point and/or book exchange area.

 

115. REPORTS/ITEMS FOR NEXT AGENDA.

The hedge around the play park has been cut by David Smith and not the contractor. Cllr Spence will look into this.

The Christmas Tree will be put outside the old chapel as usual. Cllr Spence will buy a tree.

 

 

116. NEXT MEETING.

The next meeting is to be held on Tuesday 4 December 2018 commencing at 7.00pm.

 

 

The meeting closed at 8.30pm.
