Minutes of the meeting held on 4th November 2024

 4. NOTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON  7th October TO BE APPROVED AS MINUTES with amendments  Walkeringham Parish Council.

Cllr Allen proposed and Cllr Durning seconded that the notes be approved as a true record.

 

5.   REPORTS ON MATTERS FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS

 Continental Landscapes have been requested to commence the cemetry work but haven't given a date when work will commence. A notice prepared by the clerk for the notice board was circulated. Cllr Spence discussed emails received from WLDC regarding the war memorial this remains ongoing. No update on contacting Walkeringham Parish Council on burial plot marking .

 

 

6.   PROPOSED SOLAR PARKS.

An email from 7000 Acres had been circulated by the Parish Clerk and contained a link to the last meeting. Correspondence regarding Cottam Solar Project had been received but was not relevant to Marton and Gate Burton.

 

7.   PLANNING

None

 

8.   FINANCE

Clerk had visited HSBC and a change of address form was signed so that bank statements would be receieved by current clerk. Because of the way the mandate had been set up a request for online banking would need to be made by a signatory. Problems with a cheque being rejected because it did not pass the banks fraud test was discussed cheque re-issued.

Cheques were signed for clerks salary £219.13, HMRC, £27.40 Continental Landscapes £876.97 Cllr Ridley ££337.82 and ££660.00 for reimbursement of wood chips Cllr S Spence £35.00 for reimbursement of wreath for memorial service and Wave £40.09

 

 9.CORONATION WOOD

 Further 10 bags of wood chip have been purcahsed.

 11. Precept estimate proposed at 15K Cllr Ridley propsed Cllr Cody   seconded.

Clerk advised NALC new pay rates had been received and it was  agreed the previous clerk should apply for back dated pay as new rates are from April 2024. a discussion took place on the time of the memorial service and it was agreed to post this on Marton FB page. It was also suggested that next year the village should have rememberance poppies and possibly the figures of soldiers that are seen in other villages  A resident had complained that she was receiving courier packages for Sarah's Mews as there was no street signage. Clerk will contact WLDC re this. A discussion also took place of the Parish Council laptop and the need for Windows 365.
