Minutes of the meeting held on 2nd September 2024

1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

2.    DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS' INTERESTS.
       None
3.    PUBLIC FORUM

The Noticeboards are to be refurbished with a clean and new backing paper. Quote for cemetry has been received Fenton Tree Surgeries still to quote. Marton Meadows housing development School Car Park to be handed over when 10 properties are sold so far  8 have been released. Confidence is low the light controlled crossing will be installed clerk to contact Head of planning for an update. State of dog poo bins discussed one of the bins has come away from the fence clerk to contact waste management WLDC to report.
Marking the plots in the cemetery was also discussed. Slabs are used to mark the rows in some cemeteries to be discussed at October meeting Cllrs requested to look at Claygate Cemetry before next meeting,  purchase of a new burial book to be agreed at next meeting.
   
4.    NOTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 1st JULY TO BE APPROVED AS MINUTES
Cllr Musgrove proposed and Cllr Cody seconded that the notes be approved as a true record.

5.    REPORTS ON MATTERS FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS
None

6.    PROPOSED SOLAR PARKS.
Secretary of State for Energy Security has approved plans for Solar Parks going against the Government's own Inspectorate's advice.

7.    PLANNING
None

8.    FINANCE
Cheques were signed for G Martin, HMRC,Continental Landscapes.

9.CORONATION WOOD
The weedkiller is working discussion on purchase of salt as weed killer cost £45/£50 per bag. Screening fencing may now not be replaced residents with lattice fencing may be concerned but have been informed it is the housing association responsibility. Footpath is getting worn in places Lister's have quoted £84 per bag of chippings includes vat and delivery, Approx ten bags would be required 5 this year and balance next year.
