Minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday14 July 2020

1. CHAIRMAN'S REMARKS AND REPORTS.

As it was not a legal requirement and was not possible to hold an Annual Parish Meeting this year due to Corona virus, local council Chairs and Vice Chairs are permitted to remain in office for a further year. The meeting was asked to confirm acceptance of Steve Spence and Neil Cody remaining as Chairman and vice Chairman for this year. This was agreed unanimously.

 

2. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE.

None

3. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST.

None.

 

4. NOTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 3 MARCH AND THE VIRTUAL MEETINGS HELD IN MAY & JUNE 2020 TO BE APPROVED AS MINUTES.

Cllr Cody proposed and Cllr Allen seconded that the notes of the above meetings be approved as minutes.

 

5. NEW PARISH CHARTER

The letter from WLDC about the proposed new Parish Charter was read to the meeting. It was agreed that a copy of the draft charter be emailed to Members.

 

6. PLANNING.

Planning Application Number 140912, Land North of Littleborough Lane, Application for detailed planning consent. No objections.

 

7. FINANCE.

Balance both accounts as of end of March 2020 £5,837.47

(Includes £3450 reserved for land at bottom of Trent Port Road and £1,735.65 CIL)

9. LAND OFF LITTLEBOROUGH LANE.

The £2,000 has now been credited to the Parish Council bank account. The solicitor is to be contacted to ask if the land has now been registered with The Land Registry as being under the ownership of the Council.

When this has been confirmed, a site meeting will take place to assess what work needs to be done regarding the trees and an entrance. Sanctuary Housing will also be contacted to ask if they are still in a position to help with the trees.

 

10. BUS SHELTERS.

LCC has given direction that the shelters must not be installed until they give the go ahead.

Cllr Patrick is still happy to have them delivered to his address and store them until they are erected.

The manufacturer has recommended they be galvanised and powder coated at a cost of

£200 per shelter. Cllr Cody proposed, Cllr Allen seconded and it was agreed, to have this done and Traffic Blue was the chosen colour

 

11. OLD TELEPHONE BOX.

The Community Heartbeat Trust, who bought the kiosk from BT with the intention of installing a defibrillator, which never happened has been in touch. They have been informed that the Parish Council has now provided a defibrillator and has refurbished the kiosk for use as an Information Point.

CHT has provided information about registering the defibrillator with governance system.

It was decided not to do this.

 

12. REPORTS/ITEMS FOR NEXT AGENDA.

The hedge next to Chestnut House is encroaching onto the footpath. Cllr Allen has reported this to Highways but it has not yet been cut back. It will be reported again.

Discussion took place about the land fronting the river at the end of Trent Port Road.

There have been a number of thefts committed locally recently. Lincolnshire Police are to be asked for a Crime Report and also if there is still a designated Officer for this area.

 

13. NEXT MEETING.

The next meeting is to be held on Tuesday 1 September 2020 commencing at 7.00pm. If anything important needs attending to before then, Members will be contacted
