Minutes of the meeting held on Monday 7 December 2020

1. CHAIRMAN'S REMARKS AND REPORTS.
There was a good turnout at the war memorial when Cllr Spence laid the wreath on Remembrance Day.
Cllr Spence has also put up the Christmas tree in the usual place by the Methodist Chapel
2. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE.

3. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST.
None.
4. NOTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 2 NOVEMBER 2020 TO BE APPROVED AS MINUTES.
Cllr Patrick proposed and Cllr Cody seconded that the notes be approved as minutes.
5. PLANNING.
Application No 141671, 2 Station Cottage Stow Park application for consent to display advertisement. Granted
Application No141696, Bungalow at 23 High Street, Marton application for single storey extension and internal alterations to provide bedroom. Granted.
6. FINANCE.
Balance both accounts as of end of September 2020 £11,332.18
(Includes £3450 reserved for land at bottom of Trent Port Road, £1,735.65 CIL and £2,000 for maintenance of the land off Littleborough Lane )

The Clerk apologised for the error in the total recorded in the previous month.
Cllr Ellis is to look into how the CIL is calculated.
It seems that the banks are keen to do away with cheques. LALC is to be contacted to ask what they recommend.
7. CORRESPONDENCE.

LCC – Parish Agreement, Urban Highway Grass Cutting 2021-22. It was agreed to continue with this.
WLDC – Consultation on Climate Change & Environment Strategy.
Nottinghamshire County Council – Minerals Local Plan.
WLDC – Press Release, grants available for eligible businesses forced to close in latest lock down.
WLDC – Press Release, New cinema moves a step closer.
8. LAND OFF LITTLEBOROUGH LANE.
A site meeting has been arranged to discuss clearing the site, access and so on.
The road surface was also discussed but this would be the responsibility of the County Council
9. BUS SHELTERS.
The missing end caps have still not arrived. This will be chased up.
10. OLD TELEPHONE BOX.
The Community Heartbeat Trust is willing to sell the telephone box to the Parish Council for the sum of £25 + VAT. Cllr Spence is to look at the application procedure.
11. PROPOSED 50 MPH LIMIT.
A speed reduction to the north of Gate Burton would need support from the County Councillor. Cllr Butroid is to be contacted to request his support.
13. REPORTS/ITEMS FOR NEXT AGENDA
The grid near the White Cottages at Gate Burton has still not been mended.
Anyone can report the need for road repairs by using “Fix My Street”. There is now a link to this on the new website.
Vehicles are still speeding along Stow Park Road. LRSP are to be asked for a speed check vehicle to attend.
The school is currently using the Village Hall due to an underground oil leak at the school premises. Dog walkers will now have to park on the road and keep dogs on the lead when passing the Village Hall.

The next meeting is to be held on Monday 4 January 2021 commencing at 7.00pm.
