Minutes of the meeting held on 12th May 2025

2.DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS' INTERESTS. None
3.PUBLIC FORUM: P Kent asked if there was any update
on 43 High Street Marton Cllr Spence read out an email
from planning which had been sent as a result of a letter
the Parish Council sent. Also an update on the Marton
surgery was requested the clerk stated Dr Lane had been
written to on 17th April no response had been received.
4. NOTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 7th April signed as a true record.
5. REPORTS ON MATTERS FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS:
There are still problems with accessing the online banking with neither the clerk or Cllr Dunning able to access online banking. Cllr
Ridley proposed and Cllr Musgrove seconded that an account with Unity Trust bank Cllr Cody agreed to action the online application to open an account.
6. PROPOSED SOLAR PARKS. Cllr Patrick stated Island Green had a temporary aquisition on some land in Marton but didn't know the purpose of this.
7. PLANNING. None
8. Finance: Cheques were signed for £216.49 clerk HMRC £29.60 Krinkels £1105.44.00 Anglian Water £18.12 Zurich Insurance £197.64 The cheque raised last month for Shaw & Sons had been returned by Santander to HSBC.Clerk stated the cheque book was now empty.I
9. 43 High Street Marton: Discussions took place on current situation with P Kent stating planning had recommended the company apply for full planning permission. Cllr Spence stated the Parish Council are objecting on the following reasons: No resident consultation, An A class road adjacent, no road crossings or islands, on a bend which restricts vision for the many vehicles which will be accessing the property which will also increase traffic in the village, no facilities for young people in the village and the close location to Chestnut House.
10. POPOSED PUFFIN CROSSING: No objections
11. FIELD PREVIOUSLY RENTED TO MR TINDALE; Interest had been shown in renting the field by Marc Pearson as yet the future iof the field remains undecided.
12. CORRESPONDENCE: Letter from WLDC on the reorganisation of LA's has been receievd and will be put on the website at present they see no change for Parish and Town Council's.
13. PARISH COUNCILLOR VACANCIES: The clerk had emailed WLDC re vacancies as advised by Cllr Pilgrim to date no response although a second email had been sent. Agreed clerk would email again if no response the prepared advert would be discussed at the next meeting and if agreed placed on the website and notice boards.
14. CORONATION WOOD. The grass has been cut Cllr Ridley advised of quote received for further wood chippings it was agreed Cllr Patrick would purchase 10 bags and be reimbursed.
15. AOB. Cllr Cody requested clerk contact WLDC regarding overgrown dyke at Littleborough Lane/Trent Port Road and also lorries turning problems on junction A156 A1500 with railings.
