Minutes of the meeting held on September 1st 2025

2.DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS' INTERESTS. None
 
3.PUBLIC FORUM: J Corr from Illuminate gave a talk on the proposed children's home assisted by his colleagues Rob Wardale and Nicola Ward. The home's aim is to create a family atmosphere for up to four children from Lincolnshire. All children will be risk assessed and supported by two full time members of staff being present twenty four hours a day there will also be a manager and deputy manager who will work nine to five monday to friday. The local primary school is fully supportive of the home. He also stated it is a myth that all children going into care are 'problem children', there is a shortage of foster placements which necessitates more children going into residential care.
 
4. Co-Option of Councillor: Phil  Kent co-Opted onto the Parish Council, he is currently on holiday, clerk to notify him of acceptance onto the Parish Council.
               
5. NOTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 7th July were signed as a true record Cllr Cody proposed seconded by Cllr J Patrick.
 
6.REPORTS ON MATTERS FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS: Cllr Durning updated meeting the cemetery plan is now complete and Cllr Spence will look into any queries. A job well done.
 
7. PLANNING: The Parish Council to support application WL/2025/00808 the only concern being that adequate parking is available for visitors to the property.
 
8. Finance:    The online account with Unity Trust Bank is now active it was decided to transfer most of the funds into the savings account and transfer out funds required each month to pay invoices to the current acoount. The Parish Council was chosen by PK Littlejoh auditors as part of a 5% sample of small Parish Council's for an interim audit review the accounts were found to be in order. Authorisation was given for online banking payments Krinkels UK £1105,55 Anglian Water £19.22 HMRC £79.20 clerks July/August salary £406.82
 
9. Highways Issues.  Cllr Pilgrim advised Cllr Wimhurst has taken responsibility for the proposed  bus stop issue and is awaiting a  LCC highways committee meeting date. Cllr Pilgrim will write to Cllr Wimhurst regarding the opening of the school car park.
 
10. Correspondence: Cllr Spence has received a letter from the pensions regulator the clerk confirmed she wished to opt out of receiving a pension.
 
11. Coronation Wood: No update was given as Cllr Ridley was not present at the meeting.
 
12. AOB: Complaints have been received regarding the overgrown trees at Harpham Close, this is the responsibility of Sanctuary Housing Association who are not dealing with the problem. Clerk requested to contact the tree officer at WLDC to see if she can help.
