Minutes of the meeting held on July 7th  2025

1 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE: Cllr  L Musgrave Cllr R Pilgrim Cllr G Worrell  
                     
 2.DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS' INTERESTS. None
 
 3.PUBLIC FORUM: P Kent stated there was still no   planning permission in place for 43 High Street Marton.
                         
 4. NOTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 2nd June were signed as a true record.
 
5. REPORTS ON MATTERS FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS:
Cllr Cody updated the meeting on his progress with the application
to open an account with Unity Trust Bank  variuos documents, six months of bank statements and a cheque for £500.00 made out to the PC have been requested.
 The problem with the railings has been dealt with and the railings replaced.The solicitors dealing with the late Mr Tindale's estate have been wrtten to with a map which shows the land owned by the Parish Council. Cllr Durning gave an update as to her work on the new cemetery plan.
 
6. PLANNING. No objections to  additional class rooms for Marton Primary School or a dwelling at Station Yard, Stow Park Road.  Clerk to write to WLDC re testing the land for contamination.
 
7. Finance: Cheques were signed for Mr Porter £122.80 Krinkels UK £973.44 HMRC £29.60 Clerks salary £207.69. The clerk advised the current bank balance as at 29th June was 19K. VAT return has been completed.
 
8. To discuss email from resident re proposed bus stop.See correspondence 10
 
9. To discuss application for a memorial for a cremation plot.This was turned down as it did not meet the specification set out in the new cemetery regulations which came into effect in April 2025
 
10. Correspondence: Email from resident regarding the proposed bus stop was discussed and it was decided that as there were a few highway matters outstanding an invitation to attend the next meeting would be sent to the relevant people so matters could be discussed. A letter from Jon Corr Illuminate Care Group was discussed and it was decided to invite him to the next meeting on 1st September.
 
11. Coronation Wood.Wood chip has been laid and maintenance is ongoing for weeds and grass cutting.
 
12. AOB. An application has been received to join the Parish Council.
