5. REPORTS & UPDATES.
The new gate by the river is now in place.
Cllr Durning will put up signs outside the cemetery requesting dog walkers not
allow their animals to foul the grass there. As it was decided not to install a dog
waste bin near the footpath leading up the hill from High Street because of the
proximity to the houses, Cllr Durning will also put up notices to inform dog
walkers of the location of the nearest dog waste bins.
No quotes have yet been received for the work on the land off Littleborough Lane.
The side panels of the larger of the two bus shelters have rusted and broken
apart and it is structurally unsound. Cllr Patrick is in contact with the suppliers.
LCC is to be contacted about the footpath where the other bus shelter is
supposed to go as it is less than the minimum width according to current
standards and even narrower where the safety railings are. The railings have
again been struck by a vehicle and this is to be reported.
There has been no response as yet from Mr Musson about the request to
purchase a strip of land. Another letter will be sent, using different address.
Some of the rubbish left in the lane leading to the sewerage works has been
removed. The rest is becoming overgrown with weeds and grass.
There has been unauthorised overnight camping and barbecues near the
pumping station, Trent Valley Drainage Board is to be contacted to express this
Council's concern.
The footpath by the side of the road from The Chestnuts to the bridge over the
drain, has deteriorated. LCC Highways is to be informed.
