Clerk/Responsible Financial Officers Report 2022/23

Please note that the Account Summary presented at this meeting is not  the final audit  for  the year 2022/23.

The audit will be completed within the next few weeks.

The precept  received for the financial year 2022/23 was £10,500. A grant of £700.00 for the Jubilee  and a Wildlife grant of £500.00 plus £400.00 from the Councillors' Initiative Fund were also received, which have helped towards the cost if developing the woodland on Littleborough Lane.

It was agreed that the unused  Community Infrastructure Levy  of £1,735.65which was  received in the financial year 2019/2020 also be used towards the woodland. A further £525.21 CIL has  since been received with more expected from the developments on Littleborough Lane, High Street and Stow Park Road.

It was  agreed that some of the money reserved for the maintenance of the land at the end of Trent Port Road also  be used towards the woodland as the maintenance of that land has been included in the general grass cutting contract.

The remaining payment of £2,400 for the work on the woodland has been paid in the current financial year now that the work has been completed

Bank Charges are mounting up and it may be worth looking into paying more invoices by Direct Debit, as we do with the Wi-Fi or electronic payments. In the meantime, all invoices are paid in a timely manner.

The Parish Council laptop no longer holds a charge and it was agreed that it be replaced or refurbished. This will be discussed at a future meeting.

The website has continued to be managed by Pete Langford of  The Website Management Service, for which I am very grateful.

After the Election, there will be a vacancy for a member to represent Marton  which must be filled by co-option before mid June and will be advertised  on the website and  the Noticeboards.
