Minutes of the meeting held on Monday 5 June 2023.

1.Apologies for absence.

None.

2. Co-option of New Member.

Victoria White agreed to be co-opted on to the Council fill the vacancy

3.DECLARATION OF MEMBERS' INTERESTS.

None.

4.NOTES OF THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON 15 MAY 2023 TO BE APPROVED AS MINUTES.

Cllr Cody proposed and Cllr Durning Seconded that the notes be approved as a true record

5.REPORTS FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS.

The hole in the road on High Street has been repaired.

The defibrillator has been checked again this evening and was found to be in  working order

6.PUBLIC FORUM.

None.

7.PLANNING.

WLDC has confirmed that the pedestrian crossing on Stow Park Road from the new car park to the school will now not be signal controlled as it does not meet with Lincolnshire County Council policy and will now be a normal tactile crossing. The Parish Council  is very concerned that this change may compromise safety as children and adults rush to cross the road at busy times of the day. The County and District Councils are to contacted.

8. FINANCE

1a)CERTIFICATE OF EXEMPTION was signed

1b) THE ANNUAL GOVERNANCE STATEMENT  was approved and signed.

1c) THE ACCOUNTING STATEMENTS  were approved and signed.

2)   Cheques were signed for goods and services received.

3)   Online Banking was discussed. Representatives from the banks make themselves available  at the library in Gainsborough to give advice.

4). CIL FUNDS. The  CIL funds were discussed in relation to accounting for their use.

9 CORRESPONDENCE.

The Canal & River Trust have written to the Planning Inspectorate about the proposed cable crossing under the River Trent, south of Trent Port, Marton, requesting a joint online meeting to discuss the proposal. A request is to be made that the Parish Council be included in the meeting.

10. EMAIL ADDRESSES.

The company Cloud Next Derby is to be contacted for more information.

11.CORONATION WOODLAND.

Cllr Cody and Edward Worrell have  cut down some of the brambles and nettles. Mr Stephen Porter has requested  a letter  saying he has permission to work in the woodland.

12. ITEMS FOR NEXT AGENDA.

Footpaths on Adams Way and Spafford Close.
