Minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday 2 April 2019

182. CHAIRMAN'S REMARKS AND REPORTS.

The hole in the road caused by the collapsed fire hydrant has been repaired.

The trees in the churchyard have not yet been cut back. Cllr Spence has spoken to Continental Landscapes.

The graves in the cemetery now extend beyond the path and it would be preferable if the path was to now extend the whole length of the cemetery and also needs repair. This will be looked into.

185. NOTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 5 MARCH 2019 TO BE APPROVED AS MINUTES.

Cllr Durning proposed and Cllr Musgrave seconded that the notes of the meeting held 5 March 2019 be approved as minutes.

Building has now begun on Adam's Way

 

187. FINANCE.

Balance both accounts as of end of March 2019 £14,174.88

(Includes £3450 reserved for land at bottom of Trent Port Road.)

188. CORRESPONDENCE

Crime Report for Gainsborough Rural South.

LALC – Councillors' Networking Day

LCC – Highway Grass Cutting Agreement. This was signed ready for return.

LALC – Community Collaboration Project.

 

189. HARPHAM ROAD.

This is still going through the legal process.

 

190 . 40 MPH BUFFER ZONE & OTHER SPEED REDUCTION METHODS.

Cllr Butroid has passed on the request for a 40 MPH to the Highways Department

 

191. BUS SHELTER.

The grant form has been completed. Cllr Kinch has confirmed that the shelter will not be in the way of the proposed new car park and has contacted the land owner to ask if it will be in the way of the field access.

 

192. VILLAGE SIGNS.

No further news.

193. OLD TELEPHONE BOX.

Cllr Spence has been to Elite Signs to discuss signs for the kiosk.

 

194. TRENTSIDE MEMORIES BOOKS.

Cllr Spence is to ask the shop proprietors if they will have the books on sale in the shop for £10, keeping £2.00 as commission

 

195. WAR MEMORIAL

No news

 

196. ELECTION PAPERS.

Cllrs Gamble and Moody will not be standing for re-election.

All other Nomination Papers are have now been submitted.

 

197. REPORTS/ITEMS FOR NEXT AGENDA.

Some villages have a soldier silhouette surrounded by metal poppies and it was suggested that Marton has something similar.

This will be discussed at the next meeting.

Other manholes in the road are failing, they are to be reported.

 

198. NEXT MEETING.

The Annual General Meeting is to be on Tuesday 14 May 2019 commencing at 7.00pm, with the monthly meeting following immediately afterwards.

 

 

The meeting closed at 8.00pm.
