Minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday 1 October 2019

66. CHAIRMAN'S REMARKS.

There has been a complaint by a non-resident about the fishing rights from Parish owned land. LALC is to be contacted for more information about the law on this.

 

67. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE.

Cllr Wells.

 

68. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST.

None.

 

69. NOTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 3 SEPTEMBER 2019 TO BE APPROVED AS MINUTES.

Cllr Cody proposed and Cllr Musgrave seconded that the notes of the meeting held on 3 September 2019 be approved as minutes.

 

70. PLANNING.

Application No.139585, 44 High Street; permission to construct conservatory at the rear of the property GRANTED.

 

71. FINANCE.

An invoice for the legal fees associated with obtaining the land at to the rear of Harpham Road has been received. It was understood that the legal fees would be covered by WLDC. Cllr Cody proposed, Cllr Patrick seconded, and it was agreed that the cheque should not be signed before ascertaining who is responsible for the payment. WLDC is to be contacted.

 

Balance both accounts as of end of September 2019 £18,106.21

(Includes £3450 reserved for land at bottom of Trent Port Road and £1,735.65 CIL)

72. CORRESPONDENCE

LALC Annual report

Crime report for Gainsborough Rural South.

Invitation to Stop Loan Sharks.

LCC – Adoption of the LCC Statement of Community Involvement.

Continental Landscapes – Play park hedge. Village Hall Committee will make the decision about the height of the hedge.

LCC Highways, Cllr Davies - Highways Maintenance contracts.

Valuation Office – request for information on the cemetery. Cllr Patrick is to assist in measuring the space still available

 

73. HARPHAM ROAD.

There has been a update from the solicitor.

 

74. SPEED REDUCTION METHODS.

Cllr Cody has put up the speed reminder signs.

Cllr Spence has received a telephone message of thanks.

 

75. BUS SHELTERS.

The locations for shelters on High Street were discussed and designs were looked at, the Halton design being the one that was favoured.

LCC is to be contacted for permission and a grant.

 

76. VILLAGE SIGNS.

Nothing further to report.

 

77. OLD TELEPHONE BOX.

Cllr Cody proposed and Cllr Musgrave seconded, and it was agreed that the order

be placed with Elite Signs.

 

78. CEMETERY PATH.

All agreed to have the work done this financial year. Cllr Patrick will obtain three quotes

 

79. REPORTS/ITEMS FOR NEXT AGENDA.

Colin Butcher is to be asked to cut back the hedges again this year.

A ridge of tarmac in the middle of the carriageway on the bend in Gate Burton is to be reported.

Charges for the Cemetery are to be reviewed.

Cllr Spence is to order the wreath for Remembrance Day.

The pads on the defibrillator have been replaced. There is now a label on the defibrillator giving the Clerk's details so that it can be more easily traced when it is taken away after being used.

The next meeting is to be held on Tuesday 5 November 2019 commencing at 7.00pm.

 

The meeting closed at 8.20pm.
