51. CHAIRMAN'S REMARKS.
Cllr Spence welcomed everyone to the meeting.
52. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE.
None.
53. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST.
None.
54. NOTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 9 JULY 2019 TO BE APPROVED AS MINUTES.
Cllr Allen proposed and Cllr Patrick seconded that the notes of the meeting held on 9 July 2019 be approved as minutes.
55. PLANNING.
Application No.139804, 4 Trent Approach. Application for single storey extension to rear of the property
No objections.
56. FINANCE.
Two cheques from the last meeting have been cancelled: the cheque for WLDC for election expenses was not able to be paid at the Post Office and LCC reduced the amount required for the speed reminder signs.
Balance both accounts as of end of July 2019 £21,487.51
(Includes £3450 reserved for land at bottom of Trent Port Road and £1,735.65 CIL)

57. CORRESPONDENCE
A letter of complaint about a member of the Council has been received and was discussed.
Letter from Russ Moody re fishing in Parish. Mr Moody had also been to ask Cllr Spence about who is allowed to fish in this area. The issue was discussed and it was decided to leave things as they are with only local residents being allowed to fish.
Gainsborough Rural South Crime Report.
LCC – condition of road surface at junction of A1500 and A156 – no further action.
Melanie Robinson – Resilient Communities Conference.
David Smith, Chairman Village Hall Committee – Thanks for new playground surface.
LALC County Committee application form.
58. HARPHAM ROAD.
LCC Legal Services are to represent the Parish Council and WLDC as there are no conflicts of interest. However, each party will be represented by different solicitors who will not discuss the issue between the two of them.
There is still an issue with the trees.
59. 40 MPH BUFFER ZONE .
Cllr Cody has the speed reminder signs and will put them up.
60. BUS SHELTER.
The bus routes have been changed which means that buses will no longer go along Stow Park Road.
Cantilever style canopy shelters for High Street are being considered. LCC is to be asked if a grant would still be available.
61. VILLAGE SIGNS.
Nothing further to report.
62. OLD TELEPHONE BOX.
Alterations have now been made to the draft panel shown at the previous meeting.
The 4'X 2' panel would be £65 +VAT. Fitting would be £40 + VAT. All agreed to go ahead.
63. CEMETERY PATH.
Cllr Patrick has obtained a quote for the extension to the path and is awaiting a second.
The path at Gate Burton church does not need attention.
64. REPORTS/ITEMS FOR NEXT AGENDA.
Continental Landscapes are to be asked to cut hedge around the play park as per the schedule

The next meeting is to be held on Tuesday 1 October 2019 commencing at 7.00pm.
